Grow and Achieve Success
After 26 years of serving nonprofit organizations in numerous capacities, Patricia Scanland made a decision to fulfill her career-long wish of starting a consulting practice to work with nonprofits, ministries, schools/colleges, governmental entities, and small businesses to empower them to build their capacity and achieve success. Scanland Consulting grew from an idea for a Center for Nonprofit Effectiveness. It was clear from many years of working in nonprofits that there were weaknesses in each of them that hindered their ability to effectively fulfill their missions; achieve their visions; and garner the financial support needed to be strong and viable in the short-term and sustainable in the long-term. There was also a misguided concept, prevalent not just among the professionals who worked in nonprofit organizations, but in the broader community as well, that nonprofits were supposed to do great work with very limited resources (commonly referred to as a shoe-string budget); pay their staff minimally; and yet, continue to provide effective services for the long-term. Essentially, Scanland Consulting was born out of the need to effectuate change in the nonprofit community in the antiquated ideas and mindsets that were continuing to impede organizations from having the impact for which they were established. Since inception, Scanland Consulting has grown and continues to grow to serve more organizations and businesses; not only helping each to develop into strong, effective organizations that impact lives in positive ways, but organizations built for strength, viability, and sustainability.
Over 50 years of experience, the consultants at Scanland Consulting bring a wealth of knowledge and expertise to enable businesses of all types to succeed. By offering a full continuum of services, Scanland Consulting can help whether you represent a brand new nonprofit or business with only a great vision; a thriving business or organization needing assistance in managing exponential growth; or an organization or business struggling with one or more obstacles to success, you have come to the right place.
From a funding standpoint, Scanland Consuting has raised, over the course of many years, millions of dollars through grants, fundraising events, capital campaigns, and other strategies.
Let Scanland Consulting be your guide to organizational excellence and effectiveness.
